God’s “Yes!” 2 Corinthians 1:20

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through Him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

- 2 Corinthians 1:20

Biblical scholars consistently claim that there are over 3,000 promises in the pages of the Bible. They also claim that there are over 2,000 prophecies in the Bible as well. With that said, take some time and meditate on the power and importance of the person of Jesus Christ, especially in light of 2 Corinthians 1:20. He is the most central figure in all of history and there is no one else even close.

We all know that a promise is something that is even true or it is not. It is even delivered upon or it is not. 3,000 promises! 2,000 prophecies! That is astonishing and something that can not be faked. Everything that God says about His character, our relationship with Him, our future, our needs being met, His victory over the enemy, etc… all true. The list could go on and on but the point is made. They have all held true through Jesus. That is some pretty powerful stuff. Amen!?
